Accountant Partnership Terms

Last updated: October 16, 2026Effective: October 29, 2026
Plain-English summary

Earn a 20% referral commission when a new Cache user you refer purchases an eligible annual subscription within their first year. Monthly subscriptions do not qualify. Commissions are calculated after successful payment and held for 120 days before becoming payable to allow for refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes and fraud checks. Governed by Alberta law. Questions go to partners@cacheapps.io.

These Accountant Partnership Program Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern participation in the CACHE Apps Accountant Partnership Program (the “Program”). “CACHE,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the CACHE Apps service operated by CACHE Apps Inc. (the “Company”). “Partner,” “you,” and “your” mean the individual accepting this Agreement. If you act for a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business, and “Partner” includes that business where applicable.

1. Acceptance and relationship to other terms

By selecting “Agree & Continue” during accountant onboarding or referral-feature activation, you confirm that you have read and agree to this Agreement. You must accept it before a referral code is activated or generated. CACHE records your acceptance date and time and associated account.

This Agreement supplements CACHE’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict specifically about referral eligibility or commissions, this Agreement controls to the extent permitted by law. Participation does not create employment, a franchise, an agency, a joint venture, or authority to bind CACHE.

2. Who may participate

The Program is intended for people who genuinely provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll, or related financial recordkeeping or advisory services to clients.

To enroll, select “Accountant” during CACHE signup, complete the professional onboarding questionnaire, verify your email address, make the professional-services declaration, and accept this Agreement.

You must keep your professional information accurate, comply with laws and any professional rules that apply to your work, and notify CACHE if you stop providing the services on which your eligibility was based. Self-declared onboarding is not a certification or endorsement of your qualifications by CACHE.

3. Referral codes and attribution

Once onboarding is complete, CACHE may assign a unique referral code or referral link to your account. The code remains associated with your account and may be shared with prospective new CACHE customers in accordance with this Agreement.

A referral qualifies only when a person who does not already have a CACHE account registers as a new user through your valid referral code or link, and CACHE successfully records that referral at signup. Codes cannot be applied retroactively to existing accounts. The same new user cannot generate multiple referral commissions through multiple codes or accounts.

Referral codes do not give you access to a referred user’s financial information or CACHE account. The separate “Add Accountant” feature grants account access only where the user authorizes it; using Add Accountant does not create a referral, and a referral does not grant account access.

4. Qualifying subscription and conversion deadline

Only a new referred user’s eligible paid ANNUAL CACHE subscription can generate a commission. Monthly subscriptions, monthly payments, invoice payments, payment processing fees, and other non-subscription transactions do not qualify.

The referred user must first purchase a qualifying annual subscription within twelve (12) months after their original CACHE account registration date. A user who first becomes a paying subscriber after that deadline does not qualify for a referral commission.

An upgrade from a monthly plan to an annual plan may qualify only if the user was properly referred as a new user and the first eligible annual purchase occurs within that same 12-month conversion window. The monthly subscription payments themselves never earn commissions.

5. Commission rate, duration and calculation

The commission rate is twenty percent (20%) of eligible annual subscription revenue actually received and retained by CACHE, excluding sales taxes, refunded or reversed amounts, chargebacks, credits, discounts, and other amounts not retained by CACHE. The commission is not calculated on invoice amounts paid to users or on Stripe invoice-processing transactions.

A Partner can earn commissions only on qualifying annual subscription purchases that occur within the referred customer’s first twelve (12) months of paid membership. The first paid-membership period begins when the referred customer first starts a paid CACHE subscription, whether monthly or annual. No commission is earned on an annual purchase after that first 12-month period, even if the customer remains subscribed or renews.

If an eligible annual subscription payment is made during the first 12 months of paid membership, the commission on that payment may remain pending and be paid after the 12-month period, subject to the 120-day hold and all other conditions. Each qualifying payment is evaluated separately; a renewal does not automatically qualify.

6. The 120-day commission hold

When CACHE successfully receives a qualifying annual subscription payment, the corresponding commission is calculated and displayed as pending. It is NOT immediately payable. A commission becomes eligible for payout no earlier than one hundred and twenty (120) days after the qualifying payment was successfully collected, provided it remains valid and all Program requirements are satisfied.

The 120-day hold helps protect CACHE and Partners against refunds required by applicable law, cardholder disputes and chargebacks, payment reversals, unauthorized transactions, and fraudulent or manipulated referrals. CACHE’s general subscription no-refund approach does not eliminate statutory refund rights or payment-network dispute rights.

The end of the 120-day hold is not a guarantee against later refunds or disputes. A commission may remain on hold while a specific payment dispute or suspected fraud is reasonably investigated, with status information provided in the Partner dashboard where practicable.

7. Refunds, reversals and recovery

No commission is owed on amounts that CACHE refunds, credits, reverses, or does not ultimately retain. If only part of an eligible subscription payment is refunded, the associated commission is reduced proportionately.

If an eligible payment is refunded or reversed before payout, CACHE may cancel or adjust the pending commission. If a payment is refunded or reversed after a commission has been paid, the related commission becomes recoverable; CACHE may offset it against future amounts otherwise payable to the Partner or request repayment, subject to applicable law and reasonable notice.

CACHE will not withhold unrelated, undisputed commissions indefinitely solely because one referral is disputed.

8. Payout administration

Commissions become eligible for payout after the hold period, but actual disbursement is made under the payout method, schedule, identity/payment verification requirements, and any minimum payout threshold disclosed to Partners in the dashboard or a published Program payout schedule before their first commission-earning referral. Those operational details must be published before payouts begin.

Partners are responsible for supplying accurate payment information and for their own applicable income-tax reporting. CACHE may make legally required deductions or provide tax reporting documents where applicable. No payout will be made to an account that cannot satisfy applicable payment-provider verification requirements.

9. Prohibited conduct

Partners must not misrepresent their qualifications or affiliation with CACHE; create fake or duplicate accounts; refer themselves or accounts they own or control; manipulate attribution; offer misleading subscription promises; use spam or unlawful marketing; impersonate CACHE; or purchase subscriptions solely to generate artificial commissions.

Partners must accurately describe CACHE and disclose their financial referral relationship where required by applicable law or professional rules. Partners must not claim that CACHE certifies, licenses, or endorses their professional services.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent required for your marketing communications. Do not share a client’s private financial information with CACHE merely to make a referral.

10. Monitoring, suspension and termination

CACHE may use automated checks to identify duplicate accounts, self-referrals, unusual payment activity, or suspected misuse. Where there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, inaccurate representations, or a material breach, CACHE may temporarily suspend referral-code use and affected commission payouts while it investigates.

CACHE may terminate participation for a material breach, fraudulent conduct, or loss of eligibility, subject to applicable law. Termination stops new referrals and new commission accrual. Valid, undisputed commissions earned before termination remain payable under the usual hold and payout rules, except to the extent they are invalidated by fraud, reversals, or applicable law.

You may leave the Program by contacting CACHE. Ending participation does not affect obligations that reasonably survive termination, including repayment of commissions on subsequently reversed transactions.

11. Changes to the Program

CACHE retains the right to change or update the Program and this Agreement. CACHE will provide notice and obtain renewed acceptance where required by applicable law. Material changes to commission rates, eligibility, or payout conditions will apply prospectively to referrals registered after the stated effective date unless a different treatment is expressly agreed or required by law.

CACHE will retain previous agreements and acceptance records. Continuing to use referral features after an updated agreement takes effect is conditional on accepting the updated terms.

12. Privacy and recordkeeping

CACHE processes onboarding information, referral attribution, commission records, and acceptance history as described in its Privacy Policy and as needed to administer the Program, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Partners may access only the referral and commission information made available to them through their own dashboard; the Program does not authorize access to another user’s financial data.

13. Liability and legal rights

Nothing in this Agreement excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Each party remains responsible for its own legal obligations. CACHE does not guarantee referral volume, conversion, or earnings. To the extent permitted by law, CACHE is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from a prospective customer’s decision not to subscribe.

14. Governing law and contact

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Alberta and applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to mandatory laws that cannot be excluded. Questions about this Agreement or commission calculations may be sent to partners@cacheapps.io.

15. Acceptance statement

By selecting “Agree & Continue,” I confirm that I genuinely provide the professional services identified in my onboarding answers, that the information I supplied is accurate, and that I have read and agree to the CACHE Apps Accountant Partnership Program Terms and Conditions, including the annual-subscription-only commission rule, the 20% commission rate, and the 120-day hold before payout.
